NATIONAL 2015 Youth Track

Lutheran Youth Fellowship Leadership Initiative:

Teens Stand Strong Training

The Lutheran Youth Fellowship (LYF) Executive Board, with Mrs. Jessica Bordeleau, MAR (LYF Ministry Consultant), led youth in an engaging conversation about the intersection of faith and life.  The program was designed by Rev. Dr. Joel Biermann (Concordia Seminary, St. Louis) and encouraged young people to “stand strong” in the faith for the good of others. Through video presentations by Dr. Biermann, live presentations, and discussion sessions, participants designed a spiritual growth plan which can be used personally by them and shared with their congregation.

Youth track participants participated together in regular plenary sessions and the Steamboat Natchez Cruise (under the guidance of their congregational adult leader).  On Sunday and Wednesday, youth participants chose to attend workshops as their schedule allows.  A meeting room hosted the youth track sessions and was available for other community activities.
