The Big Picture: Why Vision Changes Everything

Too often, youth ministry leaders see their program as a stand-alone entity, not as a part of the larger church. How do you align your ministry in the context of a church-wide vision, while providing for the unique needs of our students? This session will help you develop (or re-evaluate) a vision of youth ministry that is tailored to the needs of your young people and fits into the big picture of your congregation’s ministry. (Session 5)

Avoiding the Leadership Vacuum:Christ-Centered Leader Recruitment, Development, and Retention

You know your ministry needs volunteer leaders. But let’s face it: recruiting, developing, and retaining leaders can be a challenge. How do you identify and connect volunteer leaders into your ministry? Once they are connected, how do you help them grow so they will live out your vision, shape your church’s culture, and develop more leaders? What are the best ways to retain these volunteer leaders? This session will help you discover a Christ-centered approach to recruiting, developing, and retaining leaders that is functional and sustainable in any ministry context. (Session 7)
